"A man can criticize a pilot for flying into a mountainside in fog, but I would rather by far die on a mountainside than in bed. What sort of man would live where there is no daring? Is life itself so dear that we should blame one for dying in adventure? Is there a better way to die?" — Charles A. Lindbergh
As Aviation.ca is staffed predominantly by pilots, we understand how tight-knit our community really is. We’ve all heard stories about aviators passing in the line of work. We all know just how many aviation heroes have died chasing their dreams. I would go as far to say that we have all known someone who is no longer with us. Memorial.aviation.ca is a website dedicated to a celebration of these lives past. It is a place to remember the fallen airmen and women who have graced the Canadian skies over the years. It is a place to pay tribute to those who have died defending our country while inspiring generations of new aviators to take to the skies also in her defense. It is a place to say thank you to our aviation heroes. It is a place of remembrance. It is a place of comfort.
